Mid-September already, can you believe it? We’ve had a jam-packed Summer with events and it’s been great to see many of you! We can only hope this heat fades fast and Cooler Weather will be upon us!

Charcuterie Workshop
Limited Tix Left | Sept 30th, 2023 | McMinnville
We are thrilled to finally bring you our very first Charcuterie Workshop! For those who know, we have been talking about this for a while! Featuring Portland’s woman-owned business Charcuterie Me held at our McMinnville tasting room for a fun Saturday!
With wine in your glass on a Saturday (mid)morning, you’ll start with a blank platter canvas as you’re walked through a cheese cutting technique, salami rose/cured meat folding techniques, and assembly onto a palm-leaf platter.
Enjoy your new charcuterie platter on-site or wrap it up to take to your next destination!

Our favorite flower girl is back! Stacy with Skinnie Rose Designs is back for a Fall edition of her workshop, and a new technique to show you. This time, we are hosting it on a Sunday! We’ll have mimosa options to sip on, as well as our usual Charcuterie Cones by Charcuterie Me!
Learn tips on where and when to buy, how to arrange, and take home your arrangement. The arrangement featured in the photo is a similar idea of what to expect.
BIG BOLD RED | Wine Tour
Sept 30 – Oct 31 | Club Only
One of the many perks of your Chris James Cellars wine club membership is the annual BIG BOLD Red Wine Tour. This Tour (September 30 – October 31) features 18 wineries!
To retrieve your passport, stop in to either of our tasting rooms, before venturing out to the other wineries. A complete list of wineries can be found here.
- Tasting fees are just $5 per person. If you purchase at least one bottle of wine (see passport for specifics) from a participating winery, you will earn a stamp on your passport. If you get at least eight stamps, you will be eligible to participate in a raffle for prizes!
- As mentioned, this is for wine club members only. If you are not joined yet with us, stop by our tasting rooms with questions, or simply respond to this email.
Charitable Giving Wine
Thank you to everyone who has helped us support our local charities through wine buying along the way!
Each month Chris James Cellars chooses a local non-profit organization to support by spreading awareness all month long. We donate 20% of Bottle Sales & $1 from each glass pour of our featured wine.
September Charity: Yamhill Carlton Together Cares
“Yamhill Carlton Together Cares, Inc. (formerly known as Carlton Together Cares) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1998 as a grassroots based approach to serving critical needs in the greater Carlton and Yamhill areas. YCTC develops programs for youth and families in the Carlton and Yamhill area.”

Erin Hanson: Art & Wine Tour 2023
September 2nd – October 1st
Lovers of art and wine are invited to Oregon wine country, for a memorable wine tour experience. Famed contemporary impressionist, Erin Hanson has partnered with some of the most popular Willamette Valley wineries for a unique Art & Wine Tour.
Each winery on the tour will feature a selection of Hanson’s artwork for the duration of the month. Guests participating in the tour will have the opportunity to win a signature 3D Textured Replica signed by Erin!
- Pick up your Art & Wine Tour passport at any of the participating stops, at The Erin Hanson Gallery or at La Bella Casa on Third in McMinnville.
- By visiting each winery on the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to submit multiple raffle entries for a host of prizes.
- This special event is free.
Be sure to mention you are doing the tour for a special discount on your tasting!

Best Winery
News Register has published their 2023 Best of Mac & Yamhill County issue! We are so grateful to have made the list for Best Winery. Thank you to everyone who has supported our wine, events, visiting our tasting rooms, and Chris’s creative winemaking efforts!

Weekly Events
WINE WEDNESDAY: Join us every Wednesday for a midweek treat at our McMinnville location! Enjoy a new wine flight as our menu switches over on Wednesdays, as well as drink specials (see below).
B.Y.O.G (Bring your own games): Every Friday! Round up your friends, or just stop by to enjoy the environment. Every Friday at our McMinnville location, from 5 – 8 pm we offer our space for an evening of games, wine, and light fare!
No reservation needed, our tables will be first come first served
