Experience the best of Willamette Valley wine tasting at Chris James Cellars, an award-winning family-owned vineyard and winery offering an extensive portfolio of unique wines not commonly found in the Valley.
With two locations in McMinnville and our Carlton Estate, we invite you to join us weekly and monthly for special events, and on social media where we release a new video every Wednesday describing the flight of the week.
Weekly Flight
Our flights change weekly on Wednesdays to allow our guests to experience our extensive portfolio. We offer a flight of 5 wines curated by our in-house sommelier for a $25 tasting fee, that can be waived with a club sign-up or a 2 bottle purchase.

2020 Dolcetto, Yamhill-Carlton (Estate)
Aromas of violets, black cherry, plum and black pepper, with hints of raspberry, cherry and a touch of cacao.
2021 Syrah - Petit Verdot, Columbia Valley
A deep, dark, full-bodied red w/notes of black cherry, plum, blackberry, violets and spice.
2022 Sauvignon Blanc - Semillon, Columbia Valley
Aromas of green apple nectarine and pineapple, with soft round flavors of apple, nectarine, and a hint of honey at the finish.
2023 Sauvignon Blanc, Yamhill-Carlton (Estate)
Aromas of citrus, with notes of grapefruit and lime; the palate is fruity with flavors of ripe stone fruit and citrus
Tasting Rooms
Each of our tasting rooms offers small bites, sparkling water, and a selection of rotating beers.
McMinnville Tasting Room
The McMinnville Tasting Room is our newest location in the heart of McMinnville on 3rd Street. Drop in to try the newest wines or to enjoy a glass of your favorite wine with small bites.
Sunday – Thursday: 12pm – 6pm
Friday & Saturday: 12pm – 8pm

Estate Tasting Room
The Estate Tasting Room is nestled in the foothills of the coastal range less than 15 minutes west of Carlton. Relax while enjoying a flight with small bites, and taking in the beautiful scenery.
The Estate Tasting Room is tended by our wine educators who can offer personalized winery and vineyard tours tailored to your interests.
